Overview

Jay Architects is an architecture and design practice. This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for our services. Because our work is bespoke and delivered under individually negotiated agreements, the specific terms for your project always take precedence over this general policy.

No online payments

This website is informational and does not process any payments or sell any products or services online. We do not collect card details or accept online transactions through this site. All fees for our services are invoiced and settled directly, as set out in your service agreement.

Fees & service agreements

Every engagement is governed by a written proposal or service agreement signed by both parties. That agreement defines the scope of work, deliverables, fee structure, payment milestones, and the terms for any advance or retainer. Payments are typically tied to project milestones or stages of design.

Cancelling an engagement

You may cancel an engagement by giving us written notice. On cancellation:

• Fees for work already completed or in progress up to the cancellation date remain payable;
• We will provide the deliverables completed to that point, in line with the agreement;
• Any notice period or cancellation terms in your signed agreement will apply.

We may also end an engagement if agreed fees remain unpaid or if the project cannot reasonably continue, in accordance with the service agreement.

Refund eligibility

Because our services are professional and time-based, fees for work already performed are non-refundable. Where an advance or retainer has been paid and exceeds the value of work completed at the point of cancellation, the unused balance is reconciled and refunded as provided in your service agreement. Amounts already spent on third-party costs (for example, consultants, surveys, printing, or statutory fees) on your behalf are not refundable.

How to request a refund or cancellation

To cancel an engagement or request a refund of any eligible unused advance, please write to us at support@jayarchitects.in with your project details. We will acknowledge your request, reconcile the account against the signed agreement, and process any eligible refund within 15 business days of agreeing the final amount. Refunds are issued through the original or a mutually agreed payment method.
